Terms of use

Last updated

These are the rules for using Animperia, in plain words. By making an account or using the studio, you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use Animperia. How we handle your data is on its own page: Privacy.

A beta

Animperia is in beta, and free while it is. That means it changes: features come, go and get better, and sometimes something breaks or the studio is down for a while. We work hard to keep your projects safe, but keep your own copy of anything that matters to you, for example by exporting your videos.

We may change what the beta includes, limit it or end it. When a change takes away something you use, we’ll tell you by email first whenever we can.

Your account

Animperia is for people 13 and over. An account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself: what happens in your account is your responsibility, so tell us at once if you think someone else got in.

We can pause or close an account that breaks these rules, or that puts other people or the studio at risk.

Your work

What you make in Animperia is yours: your drawings, characters, animations, scenes and videos, and the pictures and sounds you upload. You let us store it, process it and show it to you, only to run the studio for you. As the privacy page says, the Animperia team can open projects to help you or to keep the service running.

Upload only what you have the right to use. Don’t upload other people’s art, music or voices unless they’ve allowed it.

The AI features

You can make everything by hand, and the AI features are optional. During the beta each account gets a set amount of AI use for free, shown as a share left in your account menu. It isn’t money: it can’t be bought, sold, moved to someone else or paid out, and we may change the amount.

What the AI makes can be wrong or not what you meant, and it’s yours to check before you use it. Don’t ask it for anything these terms don’t allow.

What isn’t allowed

  • Anything illegal, or anything that breaks other people’s rights, such as their copyright or their privacy.
  • Hateful or harassing content, and sexual content involving anyone under 18.
  • Trying to break, overload or get around Animperia’s limits and security, or to reach other people’s accounts or projects.
  • Copying, scraping or reselling the studio, or using it to build a competing service.
  • Pretending to be someone else.

No promises, as far as the law allows

Animperia is offered as it is, and while it’s free and in beta we can’t promise it will always work or suit your needs. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for lost work, lost profits or other indirect losses. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.

Leaving, and changes

You can stop using Animperia any time, and ask us to delete your account and its projects (see Privacy). If we ever close the studio, we’ll tell you early enough to export what you want to keep, whenever we can.

When these terms change, we update this page and the date at the top, and for a big change we’ll also tell you by email.
